About Megan

Megan’s journey to painting has been winding. Driven by her love for literature, she earned a BS in Secondary English Education. Shortly after, she started a graphic design business, worked for 5 years as a film producer and had 3 babies. All the while, she was trying her hand at painting in the garage, mostly frustrated, but learning. Inspired by her daughters and whimsical literature, such as Alice in Wonderland, she found a subject that entertained and challenged her, and has been steadily painting during nap time ever since. She currently lives in the lively and beautiful city of Austin, TX with her husband who is a filmmaker/artist and their 3 girls.
